The Cameron Community is committed to educational excellence by providing a safe, student-centered environment that promotes independent thinking, self-discipline, and the development of lifelong learning. Making a difference: Every Child, Every Day!
Together at Cameron. we prepare our students to reach their greatest potential, focusing on academic achievement and social-emotional well-being in a supportive and positive learning environment.
Cameron Elementary School is located in the heart of West Covina. Situated next to a community park, adjacent to West Covina High School, our school is in the hub of community activities. Opening its doors in 1952, Cameron was originally a K-8 campus. Over the next thirty-six years, Cameron went through many configurations, and in 1988, became a K-5 elementary school in the West Covina Unified School District.
During the 2016-2017 school year, we added Transitional Kindergarten to our campus. An exceptionally professional staff includes highly qualified teachers, paraprofessionals, support providers and a principal. Each staff member strives to continuously improve the quality of the educational experience for all Cameron learners.
At Cameron Elementary School, we believe in a balanced education for all students. We are dedicated to providing enriched learning opportunities. To facilitate this learning, all students in kindergarten through grade 5 are provided individual iPads for kindergarten and first grade students, and individual chromebooks for 2nd through 5th grade students as a tool for supporting inquiry and developing skills.
